Question Conditional formatting based on the state of the prior three cells

I have an attendance spreadsheet where, if the current and prior two cells are blank, I want the current cell to be yellow. If the prior three and current cell are blank, the cell color is red. See the attached sample.

Is there a way to show that as a formula in conditional formatting?
    Thanks!

Quick Response! Thanks. However, it doesn't work if I delete the 'P' in cell C4 then E4 should turn yellow but it does not. Suggestions?
