Amortization Table related to IF statement and some

    Hello World! My first post!
I need help for amortization table for the following:
Make a significant "Extra Payment" on my home loan. This significant extra payment should help me pay off my loan earlier than 60 payments. But I see negative balance in red! I need to use IF statement to find out which payment was the last one, and after that's done, make sure loan balance becomes 0. After loan is paid off, I don't want it to display payments after that row.

But it can't be just ANY IF statement.

I need IF statement formula that allows others to change the "years" and the IF statement adds or removes columns to reflect correct payment numbers.
As in, 5 years changed to three years, or 7 years,
so 36 payments is calculated, or 84 payments
and ending balance after last payment shows 0.00

I would just save the hassle and create a new loan amortization spreadsheet. You cannot edit formulas, but all the work is already done-- why recreate the wheel. --File, New, templates, Loan Amort

First, thanks for taking the time to reply!
And the thing is, I really NEED to learn how to make it and understand how it's done. Unfortunately, I can't take shortcuts D:
