Average CountIF or SumIF between unknown ranges?

I have produced a stock spreadsheet that detects resistance tops and support bottoms. This produces a column of prices that are either the closing price or zero if the price is not at a high or low.

I need to CountIf or SumIf all cells containing the volume, between any two price values that are not zero. I need to ultimately produce the average volume between the two whole numbers.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The flag displaying closing price or zero is in column CS
Volume is in column CF

Hi FDibbins: Thanks for the assistance. I am on a Mac running Maverick OSX. I am utilizing Office 2011 for the Mac.

I have looked at both of these functions and they seem to both requires a range being identified as part of the criteria. I need to figure out how to trigger that range based upon the fields containing a zero or a number > than zero.


I posted a copy of this spread sheet last night. I do not see it as available currently. If it needs to be reposted please let me know.
