How to insert multiple checkbox in a single cell

Good morning everyone. I am using Excel 10.

Sometime ago someone, at my request, had kindly posted a file on the ability to insert multiple checkbox controls in the same cell, so I can make multiple choices.
For example, if the column header is "fruit" in the individual cells must be present checkbox controls relating to "apples", "pears", "cherries", and so on, and I have more options to choose from at the same time.

Unfortunately I cannot find this file in my PC, nor do I remember how to do it.
I tried to use the search function of the forum, but I could not find anything.
    Can you help me?

    Thanks for your attention.

P.S. I am Italian and I hope that my english is correct.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I did not understand what is written in the link that thou hast reported.

I am using the Italian version of Excel 10 and in the tab "Development" there is the "enter" option. I can insert a checkbox, but this does not allow me to enter multiple choices. I can not even edit the checkbox just created, nor can I copy/paste from a list previously prepared. I even tried to click on the "Properties", but I do not see the possibility to insert ListStyle = fmListStyleOption or MultiSelect = fmMultiSelectMulti, as described in the link.

Maybe the Italian version of Excel 10 does not allow to do so?

Re: How to insert multiple checkbox in a single cell

When I started the thread , I tried not to write a long post , not to bore my readers . But perhaps I'd better clarify the situation. Sorry for the long post , but it seems necessary.
I am a doctor and I work within the system of emergency health care, which in Italy is called 118 and is comparable to the US 911 service.
I deal with Risk Management , and I have to judge whether a given event is a " clinical risk ". These events are related to emergency health in the area, and are done by ambulances belonging to 6 operations centers throughout the area of my region, Lazio .
Usually, the operations center responsible for that rescue is unique, but it is possible that they are involved more operations centers. So the meaning of my question is this: how can I select in a single cell two or more operations centers involved in the event ?
I tried all of your advices, but I can not solve. I am able to create a drop down list , using the " Data Validation " in the tab " Data" , but this allows only a single choice , and I 'm not able to turn that list into a cell with multiple checkboxes .

I realize that I have abused your patience and I apologize , but I do not know how to do. Maybe if my Company , had purchased Filemaker ...

    Thanks for your reply.
What I see in A1 cell is what I want, but I'm not able to understand the relationship between what is in the A1 cell and the correspondent values in B1 through G1 cells.
I need to check multiple values, also for future research. If I want to select records in which are involved more than one operations center, how I can do it?
And above all, the cells from B1 through G1 must be present in the spreadsheet and should be involved in the calculations? That 's what I don't understand.

About VBA experience, I think that you are referring to Filemaker.
Filemaker is not a VBA device, but is a software to build database, otherwise known as RDBMS.
For example, if you want to define a field as a checkbox field, into Filemaker is the easiest thing in the world.
You have to begin defining fields. In our example you have to define, first of all, a specific text field, that will be called, obviously, "Operations center". Then, in the dialog box concerning the fields definition, the field will be associate to a specific value list. When you save your job, you are immediately in browse mode.
To create a checkbox field, you have to go in layout mode. To do this, you can use a key combination (ctrl-L on windows environment or cmd-L on Mac environment), or you can use the menu bar.
When you are in layout format, after selecting the field of your interest, you can assign (via a dialog box) the display mode that you prefer, in this case the checkbox mode. Then you return in browse mode, by clicking ctrl-B (win) or cmd-B (Mac)..... and you're done!

Unfortunately I don't have available to Filemaker, and then I'm forced to use Excel. Which is software that I know little and that I don't like, because I think that it's difficult to use.

P.S. I attempt at classical studies, when I was young. I studied ancient greek language, and your example it's been a return to the past. Thank you
