Do not understand parts of this formula

    Hi there,

I am not entirely sure of the meaning of the following formula:

    =IF(K25<>"",SUM(J11,K10),"")

I understand that the output value of the condition if true would be the sum, but do not understand this: K25<>"" and also the false output with doble closed quotes.

I have read a few times several tutorials about this formula already, but cannot figure out the entire scope, and do not want to miss any relevant point of it.

    Many thanks for your help!!!

Re: Do not understand parts of this formula

    =IF(K25<>"",SUM(J11,K10),"")

    In words formula says:

IF cell K25 isnot blank, then sum j11+k10, or else leave the cell(that formula is typed) blank.
