Needing to set a limit in an IF formula

I need to make it so that the formula in AI7 maxes out when AG7 hits 820000 and when its equal to or goes over 820001 it stays at that max. The only thing that is making it hard on me is that the max dosnt just depend on the total in AG7 it also depends on the multiplier in F39.

Here is what i have so far...

    =IF(AG7<820000,(AG7-420000)*F39,(AG7-420000)*IF(OR( AG7<420000,AG7<820000),(AG7-420000)*F39,F39))

and the spreadsheet is attached. im working in the Feb tab

Re: Needing to set a limit in an IF formula

I'm not following what you are trying to achieve with this formula. Particularly

OR( AG7<420000,AG7<820000) doesn't make sense. Sure you don't want that second < to be a >?
To set a maximum of 82,0000, just use The MIN Formula

    = MIN(82000, your formula)
    Hope that helps.

Re: Needing to set a limit in an IF formula

I got it figured out but thank you for the help

=IF(AJ7>820000,(820000-420000)*F39,(AJ7-420000)*IF(OR( AJ7<420000,AJ7>820000),0,F39)) this is what i was needing.. i had messed it up earlier.
