Splitting a Total Cost into Quarterly dates

    Hi,

I think this may be quite easy but I don't know how. I have attached my spread sheet. I would like to take the figure in A4 and split it with the dates in rows 1 and 2 to get a quarterly split. I know that it is not just a case of dividing it by 4 as there are slightly less/more days in one quarter than another.

    Many thaExample2.xlsxnks in advance.

This may be what you are looking for. It finds the number of days in each quarter then sums all the days in the 4 quarters and divides by that and multiplies by the amount in column A. Enter in B4 and copy across and down the length of your data.
