Question Combine dates from two different cells into one cell

Hi, I’m trying to combine dates (‘start date” and “end date”) from two different cells into one cell e.g.

    Combine – cell, D7: 27/01/2014 and cell, E7: 13/12/2014 into one cell like, “20/01/2014 - 13/12/2014”
    I’ve tried; =D7&" - "&E7 and it gives me: “41659 – 41986”

Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Try this: =TEXT(D7,"mm/dd/yyyy")&"-"&TEXT(E7,"mm/dd/yyyy"). Note that I used the US Date convention. Change it to what ever convention you wish.

    Try this:

    =TEXT(D7,"mm/dd/yyyy")&" - "&TEXT(E7,"mm/dd/yyyy")

    Hope this helps,
    Chad

EDIT: ahh, missed it by that much...
