    Lookup Range

Hi all. I am trying to write a lookup formula that would be based on a range. This is based on a general ledger report. So I want all data that is associated with GL accounts 5000-5999 to appear on a separate analysis tab? Any thoughts how I can accomplish this? Thank You.

    Re: Lookup Range

You will need to describe your data in a bit more detail, as well as your requirements. Can you post an example workbook (with dummy data so as to hide anything of a confidential nature). The FAQ describes in detail how to do this.

    Re: Lookup Range

Ok this example sheet is a lot longer (2500 rows long) with GL accounts ranging from 1000-9999. So I want to write a formula that will only pull information from GL accounts 5000-5999 and list each transaction. I am trying to save time from sorting and coping and pasting a hundred times. I hope this helps.

GL Account Date Transaction Detail Amount
    5000 10/31/2012 Travel 100
    5555 10/31/2013 Meals 200
    6000 10/31/2013 car expense 500
    5200 10/31/2013 Truck Expense 3000
