    Extracting a digit from set of numbers

    Please I want a formular that will enable me extract second to the last digits in these sets of numbers:

    No. Numbers to be extracted
    789 8
    1469 6
    451 5
    532 3
    491 9
    Please any contribution will be highly appreciated.

    =MID(A2,LEN(A2)-1,1)+0

    and this for number

    =--REPLACE(REPLACE(A2,1,LEN(A2)-2,""),2,1,"")
