Angry Conditional Formatting for whole range depending on cell values

    Simple spreadsheet.
    I have data in A1:F50
    Column E is Due Date
    Column F is Completed Date
    I selected A1:F50
Conditional Formatting->New->Format values where this formula is true
=AND(NOT(ISBLANK(E1)),NOT(ISBLANK(F1))) <- If both E1 and F1 contain data (prefer date but don't know how to check for it) then fill row with color
    Applies to =$A$1:$F$50

You would think this is simple and straight forward. However, the only column that fills is column A.

If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(This thread should receive no further responses until this moderation request is fulfilled, as per Forum Rule 7)

    Re: Conditional Formatting Help Needed

Also, funny thing that also happens. In the test file, delete columns H through Q for example. Even though they're empty and are outside of the conditional formatting parameters, it changes the behavior of the conditional formatting....
