tricky if formula, lots of variables

    Hi everyone,

Im trying to figure out an if formul , which im not sure is even possible as there are lots of variables

    Here is my data

    W/E 06/12/2013
Cost per day Start Date End date Comments
    £40 01/10/2013 08/12/2013
    £40 30/04/2013
    £30 29/11/2013 01/12/2013
    £50 01/12/2013 05/12/2013 Check New booking
    £48 02/12/2013 New Booking

    Previous w/e 29/11/13
    Total bookings : 5

Need to calculate the weekly booking cost and average per booking. So "basically" it needs to be along the lines of "if comments contains new booking then multiply days booking this week by cost per day, then, if comments does not contain new booking and end date is 0 or greater than w/e date multiply cost per day by 7 and if end date is less than w/e date but greater than 0 multiply cost per day by end date less previous w/e/ then divided by 5 to find average

Hi and welcome to the forum

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
