If you want to check if the cell contains only and exactly the word, use:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

So, this would return TRUE if a cell contained 'foo', but FALSE if it contained 'foobar'

If you want to check if the word exists at all, in part of a cell, use:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

So this would return TRUE if a cell contained 'foo', or 'foobar', or 'bluefoopoo'

=SUMPRODUCT(--(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(" "&"foo"&" "," "&$A$1:$J$1&" "))))>0 will count only foo not foobar or football
