Get the difference between the lowest and highest numbers in a column of cells

Hi All,

I am looking for a way to determine the variance between the highest and lowest numbers in a range of cells. I have uploaded an example where there is a list of percentages. The lowest in the list is 43 and the highest 98. I know this by looking at the data then taking 43 from 98 to make 55 as the variance! But is there a way to automate this in Excel as the data will change week on week.

Could you just use =MAX(B1:B12)-MIN(B1:B12)? seems to give you the difference.
