Dynamic Named Range not recognized in formulas.

    Hello everyone,

I have a Dynamic Named Range (Entries) that shows in my Name Manager...but is not being recognized in formulas.

The range is defined with a standard DNR formula, and selecting the code in Name Manager highlights the Dynamic Range.

But, when I use the NAME in a simple formula, I get an error. (#NAME?)

    What am I doing wrong?

Have you chosen "Workbook" in the "new Name", "Scope" when you were creating your range?
    Not working example below

That's exactly what it was, Robert.

The worksheet was copied from another workbook, and the scope was set to the original sheet, itself.
I simply created a new DNR with the scope being my current workbook, and everything works as expected.

Thanks, for exposing me as the dufus that I surely feel like, at the moment.

I tried to mark the thread as SOLVED. It won't let me.
When I click the Go Advanced button, nothing happens.

I need to do this on the ORIGINAL post, right? (Been away from the forum for a while).

    Yep...I found that.

Now how do I delete this post, and Post #5??

When I click EDIT POST, I just get an empty field, and no Edit Options.

Re: Dynamic Named Range not recognized in formulas.

I am also having a problem with a formula/formulas not recognizing a named range in the formula. My colleague does not have that problem... when he sends me a file I can see it is working properly, but once I press the "Enable Editing" button the formulas all revert to #NAME? errors. Also, if I create a named range, and use it in a formula it works. But when I save, close, and re-open, the same thing happens... all formula referencing that named range change to #NAME? error.
