Hi,
I need to figure out the average number of procedures per hour. I can't get passed the setup. I think it's a sumproduct formula, but I'm not sure. Please help.
Thank you.

Thanks. But What i'm looking for is the average number of procedures per hour. So any given day, I might have 10-20 procedures at 0:00 and I need that averaged out over the period of time.
Could you please provide an example of results? The result table row and columns headings suggest counting, not averaging?
The table i included is the data I have. So, I need to average out the number of procedures per hour. Im not sure what you mean by results. If I use the count function, it just gives me the total count at that hour. But I actually need to average that count out. So, Monday I might have 10 procedures at 0:00, Tuesday, 15, Weds 16 and the average would be 13.66. But I am working with a lot of data and thought there is a formula that would easily compute that for me.....
Pivot table?
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
So you want to average over a given period? Is that a week, a month, a year, a quarter?
Thank you. I tried that also but when i changed hte field value to average it gave me a div#0 error...
I have a year's worth of data. I'm not looking at average per quarter, but average per day.... I might have figured it out but it is taking a while. Basically count procedures per day at the given hour and then tallying up the average. BUt I'm copying and pasting form a pivot table that does the count so it's time consuming...
Pls see my attachment.
