    Weird Page Break

Has anyone had a worksheet go CRAZY and reset the page breaks to print 1 cell per page?? It is a very random and frustrating thing because it is almost near impossible to reset the pages like they were....

    Any help would be GREAT!!!
    TIA

Hi Kristina, and welcome to the forum.

I can at least make a few suggestions without seeing the sheet:
    1. Clear any Print Areas you have set
    2. In Page Setup, make sure the page/paper size is correct, and that the margins are within allowable limits for your printer
    3. Make sure your Windows default printer is setup properly (not set to use some small paper size like an Avery label)
    4. Press CTRL+END to find your worksheet's last used cell. If it is well beyond the actual end of your data, delete any of the unnecessary rows/columns. (Select them and click Edit -> Delete)
    5. If you have your sheet set to print 1 page wide by 1 page tall, remove that setting for now just to take it out of the picture.
    6. Save your file, close it and Excel, then re-open.

    Does it still happen?

If so, you may want to consider uploading your workbook to this forum and we can take a look at it directly.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I did try all suggestions...and unfortunately, this happened at work this afternoon and the worksheet had sensitive information that I would not be able to post on a public forum.

Hopefully the restarting I did before I left will have taken care of the problem.

    Thanks!

Understood. If it turns out that it's still not fixed, try creating a copy of your workbook, deleting all the data then entering a bunch of junk data. If it still occurs, perhaps you could upload the file with the junk data.

    Good luck!

I would love to see an answer to this as it has happened to three of us in the office. I can't for the life of me figure it out but it is REALLY annoying as we need to go to someone else to print it when it happens.

I might have figured this out as it has happened to me too. Excel had given me page breaks for each row in my worksheet.

    Solution:
While copying, pasting, re-arranging... the "Rows to repeat at top" range had expanded substantially. While the page preview still displays somewhat correctly on page 1, all subsequent pages just show one additional row. So you must reset your "Rows to repeat at top" (delete or re-state them to whatever you had there previously, e.g. $2:$2). You can do so under: "Page Setup", Tab: "Sheet", "Rows to repeat at top".

    Hope that helps.

I thought I was going crazy. What did I push to make this happen. Thanks for letting me know it's not only me.

You also cannot drag the break to a new section with out it making breaks on everyone row and column.

I will try the tips and see if it works.

Having experienced the same problem, I found that the repeat cells at the top of the page setting was set to 77 rows, thus only leaving space for 1 row per page. Revised this to the 4 rows it should have been and it solved my problem.
