I have put a spreadsheet together that can pull any single of the S&P 500 stocks from Yahoo with a basic macro. I am trying to figure out a way to beef up the macro so that I can pull the closing price for all 500 companies at the same time. Is this possible? I've attached the one I put together below.StockPull.xlsm
PowerQuery seems like is might work well for you. It is a free addin for excel by microsoft.
