Sumproduct for numbers within a text

Can anyone help me to use Sumproduct for the following?

Col1 Col2
5 1 mL
4 1.5 mL
5 2.5 mL
7 2 mL
2 1.5 mL

Try

=SUMPRODUCT(A2:A6,LEFT(B2:B6,LEN(B2:B6)-3)+0)

With your sample data in A1:B6...Headings are in Row_1
This regular formula multiplies each Col_A value times each Col_B numeric and returns the sum

Will this work for you?

How?
New quick method:
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

Or you can use this way:

How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
