    #N/A issue with index/match formula

    Hello,

I am currently running into an issue with an index/match formula. I have a drop down menu that refers to the titles of columns D:G. Once the selection is made on the menu, the corresponding value under the selected title is reflected in column J. This menu works for all titles except "3 Op" in which it returns #N/A.

After reviewing the calculation steps, I still do not understand the reason for an error. Attached is the spreadsheet. Thoughts?

    Assembly_TAKT.xlsx

    Thanks!

hi jorjacman. if you use MATCH without the 0, you are doing approximate MATCH. approximate MATCH requires the data to be sorted in an ascending order. use exact match instead:

Re: #N/A issue with index/match formula

you need to make all the match parts exact match
    MATCH(H2,$D$1:$G$1,0)
