    Sum formula ignore display cell blank

    hi all,

    how do sum data with condition this below :

    sample data with 5 rows :

    3
    4
    2
    (blank cell)
    9 (sum of result)

    after formula : be 4 rows (without blank cell display)

    3
    4
    2
    9 (sum of result)

    how do to make it without delete / hide blank cell....

    You've got options:

    To hide blank rows you can just add a filter to the top of the row with Data -> Filter, then in the filter button unselect blanks.

    To delete the blank rows, you can select the whole range, hit F5, choose Special... and in there check the box for Blanks and hit okay. Now go up to Cells -> Delete -> Delete Rows.

    A small sample workbook would be useful. In the meantime did you tried with subtotal?

    thanks for your suggestion, my goal is not use Filter or delete/hide>..

    any other ideas?

    You are welcome but just for knowing it, SUBTOTAL does not needs to work only with filters....

    I apologize, I misread your initial post.

    Fotis' suggestion is good stuff. Another possible solution is =SUMIF(range,">"&0), if the "blank" cell is actually a formula that results in a blank.
