    Shade a row, if the top cell contains a certain value

    I have data in row 1. If A1 contains a certain word, I want it to automatically shade column A1:A10. Is this possible?

    I think I got it. However I want the formula to be if cell contains APP or DEL then highlight, so I have the conditional formatting formula, =$A$1="APP" but how to do I make it if it contai
