Calculating Maturity of CD by month

Hello all,

I have been working on a formula to help me calculate the month a CD would mature in a given year.

For example I would like to know when a 13 month CD would mature in the year of 2056

I have written the this to allow me to select the end of the year I want
cell p45 is in months

DATE(YEAR(EDATE(DATE(YEAR(NOW()),1,1),(P45))),12,31)

But I am having problems figuring out what month a CD matures in a given year.

I have attached the excel sheet I am using.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

I'm confused and don't understand what your result should be. Normally for Qs like this there's some sort of starting date which I don't see in your original.

Tell us what your expected result is, and importantly explain in a narrative how you have calculated it and no doubt we can come up with an Excel formula to do it.

Yes, my start year for this formula is the end of year on my excel sheet. I want to know the month the cd would mature in that year.

for example if I have the end of year set to 12/31/2034, what month would the 13 month cd mature in 2034

Hi,

I'm still not sure what answer you're looking for.
Are you saying that in one cell, say A1 you enter 12/31/2034, and you want the answer January 2036 being 13 months after the date you enter?
