Trying to pull 10 percent of data for audit

    Hello everyone,

I'm quite new to excel and some help. I have done a search on the forum and came across a solution but i don't quite understand it. I have a report that consists of types of transaction that was done for the month. I want to be able to pull a 5% random data for auditing purposes.

So for example, there are 15 different task types and a total of 1000 transaction for the week. i would like to be able to generate a report that will select 5 percent from each transaction type.

Please let me know if i need to explain more

    Thank you in advance. Cheers
