moving vertical contact list to horizontal columns

I am trying to move a list of 600 names and corresponding contact info from a single column to a horizontal column.

From

A1 Name
A2 Phone
A3 Company
A4 Email

to

A1 Name B1 Phone C1 Company D1 Email

This would repeat for 600 records.

try this:

1. Copy all cells in the 1st column (say from A1 to A600, or however many you have))
2. Now select cell B1
3. On the Home tab of your Ribbon, you'll see PASTE with a small downward arrow on the extreme left (just under "Home"), click on that and choose "Transpose" option
4. In Excel 2010, Transpose is the 3rd button on the 2nd row
5. Now all names should be transposed in Cell B1, C1, D1 ... and so on
6. Now simply delete Column A

The transpose option did not work for me. To be clear, I have 600 names in column A that includes the persons name (row 1), phone (row 2), company (row 3) and email address (row 4). On row 5 I have a new name, followed by their corresponding phone, company and email on each subsequent line.

I have searched the internet but can't seem to find a simple formula to work. I think it may require a macro, but I am not too familiar with this process. I use a Mac with Excel 2011.
