Hi there,
What i have is a team sheet checker. It compares a list of names given in twitter to a list of names i have grabbed from a database.
This screenshot should give you an idea: http://gyazo.com/cfe0080d72432ced787ef15eaf317ab9.png
Or spreadsheet is attached
- Grabs information (name, position, appearances, goals) from soccerway.com using a data scraper chrome add-on
- I then copy data to my spreadsheet
- Paste the team sheet from twitter
- Press a button and it converts the list (name, name 2, name 3) in to seperate rows by converting the ","
- A conditional formatting rule highlights the duplicates in the two lists
What i would like to do is
- The button that converts the twitter list to new rows, to also convert ";" and "&" to a new row too.
- At the moment, it only finds matching names if there's a space/name/character in front of the surname, I'd like it to scan the whole name. You can see this problem in the screenshot above, it finds all names as you can tell from the "exists" column, but only names with a first initial are highlighted, so the likes of "Bartra" or "Piqué" are not highlighted
- Have the checker work so that it see's foreign characters such as "é" as either "é" or "e" in case only english characters are used.
- Auto sort by highlighted names
The condtional format i have on column A:A is
At the moment the button for converting twitter team macro is
Thanks for any help
