SUMPRODUCT FUNCTION with multiple criteria

Hi,

I am trying to create formula to search by two criteria: date and test paper. Could you please help me out? I have attached the file. The cells B22-F22 should have formulas...I tried SUMPRODUCT function but it seems it does not work. Do you think it is because I used the validation list?

I would be very grateful for your help.

Try this in B22 and filled right.

=SUMPRODUCT(--($A$2:$A$18=$B$20),--($B$2:$B$18=B21),$C$2:$C$18)
