Change colours of cells via another cell

    Hi All,

I am making a template excel file to speed things up at work, ATM on the first Tab of the spread sheet I have a few things that populate the other tabs ie ref. and start time. What I'd also like to add into this is colour coding so that each team that use this template will be able to assign their teams colour.

What I'm hoping for is to be able to have a cell for each team filled with their colour and upon selecting it, it will change the colour of the cells on the other tabs.

    Is this at all possible?

    thanks jeff

In other tabs the entries are pre entered? or it needs to be changed when doing entry?

Thanks for your reply, on the first work sheet there is a box K 20 that is copied via = to worksheets 2,3,4,5 into cell A1. And it's these A1 boxes that I need the background colour to change based on which team on the first worksheet. Hope this make sense.

To Add Excel VBA Code to a Workbook / This Workbook Module

    1. Copy the code that you want to use
    2. Select the workbook in which you want to store the code
    3. Hold the Alt key, and press the F11 key, to open the Visual Basic Editor
    4. In the Project Explorer, find your workbook, and open the list of Microsoft Excel Objects
    5. Right-click on the ThisWorkbook object, and choose View Code
