Format numbers on the x-axis of Chart

Go into axis options - you will find ther units of displaying dropdown list (roughly - I have national version of excel) and select "thousands"

the other option - use non-standard format for the cells and make sure in axis formatting in Numbers tab you have "connected with source" checked.
