Help with Excel Formula for a Form.....Logic, COUNTIF? I'm Clueless...

    Capture.PNGCapture 2.PNGCapture 3.PNGDM- Payroll Audit- Q2 FY-2014.xls

I'm new here and I have very basic knowledge of Excel formulas, I've been searching the web for hours...ive been able to figure out some of what im trying to do, but now I'm stuck...

Very basic explanation of what I'm trying to achieve.

I have a form that was created that I want to have used like a checklist. It has a total possible of 29pts by checking yes on the checkbox, which I had to us the =If function...however of those 29 questions/points that could be a yes or 1pt. there are 2 sets of 2 questions that may or may not be used. So technically the form should or could score out to a 25, 27, or 29 total points. I created a data validation list with a drop down stating yes/no to determine if the questions have to be answered. I'm trying to find a way to have the basic score divided by 25pts unless one drop down states "yes", then it would be divided by 27pts, and the same if the second drop down states yes it would now be divided and scored out of 29.

Could someone PLEASE help me...its literally been hours of searching just to get what I have adding up. I've included some snips, because I'm certain that I'm not even explaining it correctly...

Hi, and welcome to the forum

It is more useful to the people trying to help you solve your question if you upload the actual workbook, as opposed to just images of it. Could you please upload the workbook so that I can take a look. Also, please indicate the cell that you want the formula to be in.

    Thanks

Although a picture paints a thousand words, in the case of Excel worksheets, what you see is only skin deep. Can you please attach the workbook, making it clear where you want the result of the formula to appear? What formulae have you tried so far? You will probably need to use the COUNTIFS function.

I added the workbook to the original post, I appreciate the help...as far as where I want it to appear, I was hoping to have it be able to score out. there is a box on the bottom of the worksheet that states points and score. But none of it is etched in stone and can be moved around if I need to. was just hoping to make it scorable digitally. Not all of my restaurants will have minors so I want to be able to score it without those points if need be.

    Thanks again.
