Copying a formula of weekly sums/averages.

Well it is the first time here for me so i hope i am in the right section here.

I am making an Excel sheet that has data entries for every day of the year running down in a column.
In every 8th row i have the weekly sums/averages.
Then i want to sumarize the the weekly data into a seperate sheet so that in can make charts of the data.

Is there anyway i can make a formula that I can copy down in my second sheet that takes data from every 8th cell down in the column? Right now I am individually clicking each weekly reference with the mouse and that is alot of work!

    Book2.xlsx

I hope this makes sense. Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

In H4, enter this array formula and drag it down as far as necessary:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

An array formula must be entered using Ctrl + Shift + Enter, as opposed to just Enter for a normal formula.

The formula is in column J in the attached workbook.

    I hope this helps

Hi there. Just when I thought i was starting to learn how to write formulas. Lol.

It looks like its coming up with the right answer on the first four, but when i drag it down, the formula is there but no answers. Or what am i missing?
I guess i still have ALOT to learn. Thanks

Whoops!! I think i found out what i need. I need to extend the data reference cells (columns B + C) I believe, too include the upcoming weeks. Correct me if im wrong. Im not sure about my terminology either.

Yes, change all "35" references in my formula to be the last row in your actual data

A solution with an pivot table.

    See the attached file.

I changed the format ** your data to (easier) get the result.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.
