Conditional Formatting based on another Worksheet

    Hi,

I am trying to create a worksheet for another department which extracts data from a database. The file will list work they have outstanding. The manager of that department has colour scaled the Orders outstanding on the previous week, and I want to match that in the current week in the current tab.

Can I do INDEX/MATCH type formula's in Conditional Formatting to pick up the Current Orders and Match them to the previous weeks Orders, rather than having to match them manually?

Any new orders will be left white, and the manager will update the formatting.

I've attached an example for reference. What I want is the Keema Order from the "Previous" to be duplicated in the "Current" tab and so on.

Thank you in advance for any assistance

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. What I want to do is when I update the next weeks orders from the database. I want to match the orders that are still outstanding from last weeks Orders with the same colour code that the department manager has allocated.

The Orders that have been completed will have disappeared, and any new orders will be white awaiting for the department manager to allocate a colour code to those orders.

Is this possible or will it have to be done manually every week?

    Thanks again

    What about new orders?
    Will they have different color?
IS it possible to have a list of drivers and then create CF based on that list.?

    Thanks for your reply Robert

At the time of running the query, the new orders will be as the query produces them. I will then place the file in a shared folder in which the Department Manager in her time will allocate the colours that she deems necessary.

I just realised I never put the Legend in the example file. I've updated that and re-attached.

So in Current week keema will be red and widelandmotor grey?
    What will happen next week.
Will current become previous (as tab) or you will overwrite both tabs?

Yes, in the Current week Keema will be in Red and Wideland in Grey.

Next week if they are still not invoiced and there is no change to their status, then those colours will again remain the same.

Each week I will override the Previous week with the current tab as at that Monday, then I will execute the Query from the Database for the Current tab. Then I want the Tab to reflect the Previous tab if possible?

    Thanks,
