I am trying to create an Excel spreadsheet that will calculate shift diff for 6 different shifts. I currently calculate this by hand but would like to have an easier way. We have 6 shifts:
Shift 1=Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM
Shift 2=Monday-Friday 3PM-11PM
Shift 3=Sunday-Thursday 11PM-7AM
Shift 4=Saturday-Sunday 7AM-3PM
Shift 5=Saturday-Sunday 3PM-11PM
Shift 6=Friday-Saturday 11PM-3AM
The shift diff amount is different for different positions, so I would need to be able to update it.
Ex. For one position, it may be as follows:
Shift 1=$0
Shift 2=$1
Shift 3=$2
Shift 4=$3
Shift 5=$4
Shift 6=$5
But for another position, the amounts may be different.I just need the spreadsheet to calculate for one employee at a time. I would like to be able to just input the time punches and have the spreadsheet calculate the number of hours worked for each shift. I've been going crazy trying to create different formulas to try and create this spreadsheet but I have had no luck! Is this possible?? Please help!
