    Highest and lowest number

    Hi All,

I want excel function or formula.
I am getting script price in live market in excel sheet through broker software. I want a formula that count highest and lowest number ever since start. e.g. the script price or number say 900. In every second this number goes up and down say 901, 902 or in next couple of seconds it may fall say 898, 897 etc. I want formula that print or show me highest number ever in one cell or lowest number ever in another cell. This numbers will not change until next, it may rise or fall than previous number, e.g. if highest number ever shown was 905 and the current stock price say 901, the 905 will not change till 901 will go up 905. Once gone above 905 and higher number shown like 905.50, it should change from 905 to 905.50.

    Regards

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    Re: Highest and lowest number

    Thanks Sixthsense,
I am sorry to say you, but no need of any sample workbook, because just imagine a cell which is updating second to second. I want a formula in another cell which shows me highest value printed or shown in updating cell. If not gone above previous highest value then it should keep as current value is highest.

    Thanks sixthsense & pardon me.

If you want members to offer accurate suggestions, instead of just guessing, Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Re: Highest and lowest number

If A1 is your updating cell and B1 is the cell showing the highest value, use the below formula

Please Login or Register to view this content.
To use this formula you have to Enable iterative calculation and to do that follow these steps.........

Office Button-->Excel Options-->Formulas and under Calculation Options tab, check Enable iterative calculation box

    Is this what you want?
