Keep number format when converting to text - with decimal and zeros

Hi all,

I am building a text data string in excel from financial data downloaded into Excel 2007. When converting an even amount - 36500.00 - from Number to Text, the decimal and zeros disappear. I need the text format to keep the decimal and zeros in place. I have searched extensively for a formatting option to accommodate but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone assist?

To clarify, I am not a programmer and I do not write code. I am looking for a solution to use within excel.
