Hi and welcome to the forum It moght help if you provided some extra data? You have no sales, no consumption/sale etc?

Also, I notice that the file you uploaded indicates 2007 or later (.xlsx), but your profile says 2003. Please update your profile as necessary, members tailor questions based on your excel version

Re: Caculate number of weeks stock

    Hi

    Sorry panic mode disengaged!

Ok, the green line is the forecast/consumption, the yellow line is the stock moving through the months less the forecast/consumption.

I need a formula that works out how many weeks cover I have every month.

    Thanks

    Gary

The WB you provided is really no different to the pic you provided. Unless Im missing something, what consitutes a week's consumption/usage? If you have that value, then it should be a simple matter of =stock-for-that-month/(4*weekly consumption)??

Re: Caculate number of weeks stock

    Hi

Sorry, I need a formula to calculate forward the number of weeks cover based on the stock level for that month less the on going forecasts. Simplest way I can put it is if I have 1000 units in March, based on the forecast april may etc, how many weeks stock would I have in March

    Month F M A M J J A S
    Sales 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
    Stock 100) 90 80 70 60 150 140 130 120
    Replenish 100
    Weeks Cover ?

Re: Caculate number of weeks stock

I am really struggling to write what I need A formula that will give me how many weeks stock I have based against a monthly forecast and current stock level, It has to take in to account the rest of the monthly forecast to give me a weeks cover figure.Trying to maintain 8 weeks cover through the year, so need something that will highlight when stock cover drops below 8 weeks

    jan feb mar apr may

    A1 Forecast 10 10 10 10 10

    A2 Stock 100 90 80 70 60 50

A3 Coverage wk ? (need to know based on stock of 90 and forecast when I will drop below 8 weeks of stock )

    thanks
