I've been trying for weeks to create a formula that easily allows me to pull a Google Analytics Report and then sort, and filter the data in excel so I can easily pivot the data. Looking for experts out there that can help me as I am not sure where to go from here and I'm losing my mind! Here's an example of what I want to do.
On Tab 1, I am keeping a list of the titles and associated pages each time an article is published. (Tab 1 Example: Column A, Row 2 = Article Title (About Ben Franklin), Column B, Row 2 = Page (/about-ben-franklin); Column A, Row 3 = Article Title (About Sam Adams), Column B, Row 3 = Page (/about-sam-adams)
Tab 2 is where I copy and paste my Google Analytics report. When I pull a Google Analytics report the format returned is /about-ben-franklin and /about-sam-adams. The challenge I am facing is that some of my pages might look like this: /about-ben-franklin?cm_mmc=email because there are different traffic sources for that article. I'd like to be able to create an IF statement that says IF the page includes anything similar to "/about-ben-franklin" no matter if there's more characters after it or before, then the column A title = About Ben Franklin.
I have hundreds of pages and am trying to avoid having to create a unique rule for each so is there a way that I can create one formula that would find an identifier in the page column (column B) on tab 2, and insert the title listed in column A on tab 1 to the title cell in column A on tab 2 where the Google Analytics data is?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
