Iff Statements - Identify the extra space

Hello,

I am comparing data from two columns:

A B C
John W John W

The difference between A vs B is there is an extra space in row A: "John W".

I have a couple of thousands of records in scenario. Is there a way to create an IFF statement in which identify the names with the extra space? And if there is an extra space after comparison, I want row C1 to say "Mismatch on Name: Extra Spaces"

The formula below will return this response. Also, the TRIM function may be useful for you. =TRIM(A1) will return the value in A1 with spaces removed from the start and finish.

I usually use =IF(A1=B1,"","NOT A MATCH") and that usually points out to me when the two aren't equal, provided they are sorted first and expected to match.
