    How to automtically create new row with new entry from different tab/spreadsheet

    Hello all,

    I apologize if the this has been covered, I searched like mad and couldn't find anything on it.

    I've got a master spreadsheet grabbing data from 12-13 different tabs/spreadsheets.

    One of those has a table, and I was wondering:

    Is it possible for the master spreadsheet to automatically add a new line every time someone adds a new line and creates a new entry in a different spreadsheet?

    In other words,

    If there is a table in the master spreadsheet, and someone adds a new line, is there a formula which allows the master spreadsheet to add a new line in order to autopopulate?

    Hi and welcome to the foum

    Not sure I really understand what you want here
    Do you want the new row added to the Master, or to 1 of the otheer sheets?
    What do the other sheets contain, why do you need 12-13?
    What data is being puleld into the master - and how?
    Have you considered adjusting your currect fiormulas to show nothing if the sheet cells are empty?

    Perhaps upload a (clean) sample of what you are triomg to do?

    Thanks so much for your post.

    I'll try to break down what I'm doing as simple as I can:

    Say I have one master sheet with a table (Sheet A), with references to three other spreadsheets. (Sheets b, c & d.)

    Say someone adds a row to a table on sheet c, and adds new information. Is it possible to set up Sheet A to automatically add the row that was created in sheet c, to Sheet A?

    In other words:

    Sheet A:

    Favorite candy:
    Chocolate
    Peppermint gum
    Licorice

    Then, someone adds a new line with "strawberry taffy" after chocolate in sheet c:

    Sheet c:

    Favorite candy:
    Chocolate
    strawberry taffy
    Peppermint gum
    Licorice

    After saving, Sheet A now looks like this:

    Favorite candy:
    Chocolate
    strawberry taffy
    Peppermint gum
    Licorice

    A row was added with the new info autopopulated, into Sheet A.

    Make better sense? Sorry if it's over-simplified.

    Have you tried to put a link from A to C like this:
    From A1:A5 sheet A:
    =C!A1
    =C!A2
    ...
    =C!A5
