    Index/match formula not working

    Hi Guys,

    I am basically trying to extract the hourly rates from sheet 2 to sheet 1 based on role/status but it's only doing it correctly for permanent employees.

    Use MATCH for columns too:

    Here's another one...

    Enter in E2 and copied down:

    =VLOOKUP(B2,Sheet2!A$1:E$6,MATCH(D2,Sheet2!A$1:E$1,0),0)
    Biff
