    Copy paste losing formatting

Whenever I try to copy/paste into Excel 2010, it will only paste as unicode text and I do not have the option to paste with the formatting or any other paste special items. I've been looking all over for a solution and
    • I don't have Skype or Click-to-call installed on my computer or browsers
    • I don't have two instances of Excel open.
    • I don't have any web browsers open.
    • I was unable to paste the formatting in safe mode.
    • I don't have any add-ins selected.

Whenever I copy an item, the clipboard copies two instances of the item, so I'm a bit confused as to why it's not just copying one.

    Any suggestions?

I was remote connecting to this machine, and the connecting machine may have been the issue. I tried from a different computer today and had zero problems.
