    Format a colum help. Excel baby here...

    HI
    Im very new to excel I have columns of numbers and letters
    the first is cost shown as
    -0.60
    -0.76
    ect and l need to remove the minus with out doing it one by one

    the second has
    AU $20.00
    AU $0.30
    ect and l need to remove the AU again with out doing them one by one.

    I also need to create a column by adding and addition + sign to each number.

    Can someone help please,

    Couple of questions here. Is this data is in single column or three columns. Is there any criteria to "remove" - sign and "add" - sign.

    If that is 3 columns of data, highlight the data, press CTRL H (find/replace)...under Find, enter - (minus), leave Replace empty, click Replace All

    As far as removing the $ sign, That is probably just formatting, try changing the formatting to general or number
