Welcome to the forum
This is not actually my field (HTML), but can't you just create a hyperlink to that file, and then copy the hyperlink into the HTML? Just my 2 cents suggestion.

Hi, thank you, that's what the <a hrefs do, i want to open a specific worksheet, at the moment it opens the last saved worksheet.

Hi, i think i found my answer here, it does not look like its possible with excel 2007 with the browser opening the excel file directly, previous version opened in the browser
