need to take one line, with qty of 15 and make 14 more lines with same data

I have an upload program for an old ERP program, one line one item is the format. I get an excel file from a warehouse with one line and various qty. for example


DLM2245/17 DLM2245/17X 1
DLP2204/17 DLP2204/17X 7
DLP2249/17 DLP2249/17X 7
DLV1004/17 DLV1004/17X 147
DLV1005/17 DLV1005/17X 158
DLV1009/17 DLV1009/17X 1873

so line one is fine
but for line 2 I need to insert 6 more lines
for line 3 six more lines
line 4 146 more lines etc etc etc

I am not sure how I would/could do this. I am not a big excel user, I general do everything in MS Access. but the end user does not want to use MS Access, so they asked me to look into this. Any help is appreciated.

Is that data in two columns, or three? If you attach a sample workbook then we can see how your data is arranged and work out more easily how to give you your desired output. The FAQ describes how to attach a file to one of your posts.

sorry three distinct columns Column A is one model, Column B is the next model and column C is the qty. So I am transferring model DLM2245/17 to model DLM2245/17X Each item is in its own column.

column A column B Qty
DLM2245/17 DLM2245/17X 1

That's not the same as attaching a workbook - I'm reluctant to type your example data into a blank workbook before I can get started to try a few things out.

that was perfect. I have used Index Match a lot for doing lookups. But your combination of max and If statement with Match is new. But I believe I can reverse engineer the formulas. Thank you so much. this will help us tremendously.
