    Data bars: Minimum Type = Automatic

    When I edit rules under a data bar, under the Minimum Type drop down menu one of the choices is Automatic. What does this mean? Also maximum has the same thing.

    It means that Excel will automatically determine the minimum value based on your data set. Else, you can specify it
