How to make a diagram of this?

Trying to make a circle diagram of something that look like this

Gender: | Male | Male | Female

I want it to create a diagram that would show 66% male and 33% female but i don't understand how to make that. It need to count how many of each gender there is and then line it up.

How do i make a diagram that is not number based? How can i make it count how many of each gender there is and then make a diagram of it?

Use =SumIF()

And then creat the shart based on that.

Any luck with this?

I made the list vertical and used a pivot table and now it works without having to add any additional fields. The only downside was that i have switch place on rows and columns.
