    Fill down

    Hi

I have done, a v lookup between my master sheet and my raw data sheet.

    Range("A5").Select
    Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Selection.Resize(20, Selection.Columns.Count), Type:=xlFillDefault
    Selection.Offset(1, 0).Select
This is the current code I am using... (but i know its very bad :-)

In A5 I want to filldown ONLY data taken from the raw v lookup column. The number of rows in the column will change daily.

Please kindly advise what you would advise.

    Thank you very much

    What's in A5?

Is there anything in other columns?

    Re: Fill down

    Hi

Thanks for replying... in A5 is the data returned form my VLOOKUP from another seperate workbook.... so basically I want to filldown A5 to last known cell with data from my raw data. My other columns are not yet generated with data as yet and normally I would fill down by linking to another column... because this is the first column with data, my code will not work.

    Re: Fill down

So the last row will be determined from the no of rows in the raw data?

    I think more details are.needed.

Which column in which worksheet do you want to use to determine the no of rows to copy down?

Also, what are you actually copying down?

If it's a formula what is the formula?

    Re: Fill down

Hi Norie....... sure.... thanks for your feedback.

I am wanting to fill down column A (from row 5 downwards)

What currently happens .... Column A5 returns the vlookup data from my RAW data (tab 2), which is fine. I now want to populate A6/7/8 etc ... I want the fill down to be smart enough to recognise the last cell of data in column A (on tab two) and fill down on tab 1 in relation to tab 2.

I hope that makes some kind of sense :-)

Below is the code im using to populate A5 using BM (Tab 2)

    Thanks again for your help.

I'm confused, all that formula will do is put the value from A29 on 'BM' in A5 on the other sheet, it's not looking anything up.

You could just replace it with this,
    Formula: copy to clipboard

or just do a straight copy and paste.
