    enter sth in column A then the date and time automaticaly entered in column B e.g

    I want to enter any thing in column (A) and then the date & time automaticaly put in column (B)
    enter any thing in (A1), the date & time entered in (B1) automaticaly
    enter any thing in (A2), the date & time entered in (B2) automaticaly

    and so on ...

    Right-Click on the sheetname and VIEW CODE. Now paste in this code:

    Dear Sir,

    plz tell me in which i have to paste that code i mean whether to be in class, or user form, or in Standard module.

    plz give the brief note

    This instructions were included above. Right-click on the sheet tab and select VIEW CODE. Paste the code into that window.

    it is work properly, but, When I save my work and open it next time it is not work outright and (the code I hade entered isn't exist), I have to enter that code again ,and every time I open the sheet I have to enter it, it is not saved with the work
    What to do? , How to save it properly?

    Make sure you have downloaded and installed all the updates for Microsoft Office.

    Try creating a NEW workbook with no data in it, add that code to one of the Sheets, then save it. Open it and see if the code stays in THAT book. If so, you may be facing some unknown corruption in your document.

    Given you're using 2007 be sure to save the file as macros-enabled type .xlsm
    (the default file type is .xlsx which will not permit VBA)
