    need help in creating absence rate formula and tracking sheet on monthly basis

    Dear Seniors,

    I have searched a lot online but could not be able to find a suitable format for creating absence tracking sheet with absence rate formula on monthly basis.

    I need help in creating an excel sheet with the below requirements:

    Column A,B,C,D: Employee Name, Dept,Absence date(From - To), Total Days, Type of Leave (S, A, M, etc)

    Additionally I need a calculation at the end that shows the absence rate during the specific month in the form of table or statistical graph.

    I would appreciate if you could help me in this.

    if you could setup a sample spreadsheet and attach that would help
    I would report your post and ask a moderator to remove your email address - putting email on public forums is a quick way to get a lot of spam

    you could use the datedif() http://www.techonthenet.com/excel/formulas/datedif.php function to calculate the number of days

    a pivot table would be able to give you a table and chart showing monthly type of absence Absence date(From - To) use two columns , 1 for from and 1 for two
