I need help on Auto Filling the date across 31 worksheets in my format

Hi everyone,

I have created a workbook with 31 worksheets (they represent each day of the month). I'd like to know how I can auto fill the date in cell A1 across the 31 worksheets without having to type in each day myself. I need the date format to look like this: Wednesday 7th May 2014

In other words, cell A1 in worksheet 1 needs to say Thursday 1st May 2014, cell A1 in worksheet 2 needs to say Friday 2nd May 2014, cell A1 in worksheet 3 needs to say Saturday 4th May 2014 and so on for the remainder of the worksheets for that month.

I hope I have explained myself clearly. Can anyone help me please???

In cell A1 of worksheet 2 press = and click (Using Mouse) cell A1 of worksheet 1 and add +1 press enter.

Now the entered formula will looks like the below

=Sheet1!A1+1

Format the cell with your desired formatting.

Like this you can reference all the sheets.

Wow, that worked for worksheet 2. What do i do for work sheet 3 and 4 and so on??

You have to repeat the step for the remaining sheet by changing the reference =Sheet1!A1+1 to

=Sheet2!A1+1
=Sheet3!A1+1
=Sheet4!A1+1

like that for each sheets

In Sheet1!A1 put the date of the first day you want. In A1 of each other sheet you could have

The RIGHT(CELL("filename"),LEN(CELL("filename"))-FIND("]",CELL("filename"))) part gets the filename of the cell, including tab name, in this format example: C:\Users\nzwstation21\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\[PERSONAL.XLSB]Sheet1 It then takes everything to the right of the ], ie the tab name. Given you have named your tabs 01. 02. 03. etc, you need the left 2 characters and then convert it to a value. So for sheet 2 it takes the date in A1, subtracts 1 and adds 1, being a net gain of 1.

Then select all the sheets and change the format of cell A1 to Dddd D"th" Mmmm YYYY
